Work Placement Officer

Blackpool Sixth is an outstanding college specialising in 16-19 education, we have an exciting opportunity for a Work Placement Officer to join our team. This permanent position is your chance to make a real difference to young people as you support them to achieve their goals. The post is a college staff term time only post with the requirement of working an additional 15 days across the year.

Based in Learning Resources and Futures you will be taking on this varied and hugely rewarding role. Establishing and building excellent working relationships with a wide range of businesses and voluntary organisations, you’ll identify and develop new placement opportunities. On top of that, you’ll liaise with teaching staff and students, match students to suitable placements and manage administration.

A day in Learning Resources and Futures could see you: 

  • inspire students to achieve their full potential;
  • liaise with outside agencies to provide quality employer engagement opportunities for students;
  • building a network of employer links both regionally and nationally.

It is planned that this recruitment will be held onsite, however, this is subject to change and we may decide to hold this remotely via Google Meet. If the interviews are held in person this will be with COVID secure measures in place.

Salary: £20,211 - £22,219 per annum
