Study and Employment Advisor

Blackpool Sixth is an outstanding college specialising in 16-19 education, we have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Study and Employability Advisor to join our team. Could you provide outstanding support to our students, helping them to raise their aspirations and enjoy the rewards of success? If so, this is an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and enthusiastic team as you take on a highly fulfilling role on a permanent basis. This post is full time, staff term time only plus 5 additional days.

Based in Learning Resources and Careers you will work to ensure excellent service to students, providing support for their independent learning and work readiness. Strong communication skills are an absolute must, along with a proactive and flexible approach.

A day in Learning Resources and Careers could see you: 

  • inspire students to achieve their full potential;
  • lead workshops with small groups of students to improve study skills;
  • liaise with outside agencies to provide employer engagement opportunities for students;
  • processing and organising the records of work experience and volunteering of students.

Are you educated to A Level or equivalent? Do you have experience of agreeing personal targets with young people and supporting their attainment? Do you have the confidence to interact with and motivate young adults and to develop effective relationships? Salary: £15,853 - £16,505 per annum
