Blackpool Sixth is an outstanding college specialising in 16-19 education, we have an exciting opportunity for an Engineering Teacher to join our team. This full-time permanent position is well suited to you if you are either looking for the first steps into teaching or if you are looking to advance an already established career in a thriving and supportive workplace. 

Based in the science department you will work closely with others in the department to support your students to achieve their ambitions. We believe that all science and engineering qualifications carry equal importance and are keen to listen to new ideas about how we can improve the experience for our students further.  The department is innovative and continuously seeks new opportunities to develop. In 2016 we achieved the prestigious STEM assured status and we are proud to work with HE providers and the Ogden trust.

A day in the science department could see you: 

  • working collaboratively with others in the department on schemes of work and resources
  • inspiring students to develop their knowledge of engineering
  • being involved with local industry in developing work experience opportunities for students
